Counterproposal for Edward Jones Dome upgrades due tomorrow

The St. Louis Rams have until tomorrow to offer their own price tag for upgrades to the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis.

The Rams' lease requires the Dome to be in the "top tier" of stadiums in the National Football League. That tems is not clearly defined, but it's generally meant within the top 25 percent. Otherwise, the Rams are free to depart St. Louis in 2015.

Rams trade down, draft Brockers

The St. Louis Rams drafted LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers in last night's first round of the NFL Draft.

The Rams traded back from the sixth pick to the number 14 pick with the Dallas Cowboys after the Jacksonville Jaguars traded up to the fifth pick to draft wide receiver Justin Blackmon. The Rams also got a second round pick from the Cowboys in the trade.

Gregg Williams, newly named defensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams. Formerly with the New Orleans Saints, Williams has been suspended indefinitely from the NFL due to his involvement in a "bounty system" with that team.

Gregg Williams apologizes

Rams defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is apologizing to the NFL, to St. Louis coach Jeff Fisher, the Rams organization and football fans in general for running a bounty pool while he was in New Orleans.

Williams was suspended indefinitely on Wednesday by the NFL, and the Rams say he'll be eligible for reinstatement after the season.

Rams defensive coordinator Williams banned indefinitely from NFL

Without ever coaching a game, the Rams' new defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has been banned from the NFL indefinitely over an issue with his prior team, the New Orleans Saints.

The NFL has suspended New Orleans head coach Sean Payton for the 2012 season, and former Saints defensive coordinator Williams is banned from the league indefinitely because of the team's bounty program that targeted opposing players.
