Blanchette Bridge closures start tonight

A friendly reminder to St. Charles drivers - overnight lane closures will start on the Blanchette Bridge tonight.

The closures are needed in preparation for the major rehabilitation of the bridge's westbound span, which is expected to start in 2012. The current work will move utilities from the westbound bridge to the eastbound lanes.

St. Charles house fire claims fourth victim

A tragic house fire in St. Charles has claimed the life of a 4th victim. 8-year-old Quentin Gresham died early this morning, following the deaths of his father, mother and younger sister earlier this week.

As the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports, the lone survivor of the deadly blaze is 11-year-old Robert Zwilling, who escaped by jumping out a second-floor window.

Missing bank CEO found safe

Joseph Crenshaw, founder and CEO of New Frontier Bank in St. Charles.

The founder and chief executive officer of New Frontier Bank in St. Charles County is safe.

The bank reported last week that 57-year-old Joseph Crenshaw was missing. Foul play was not suspected because Crenshaw's golf clubs, fishing poles and medicine were also gone.

Authorities are not discussing where Crenshaw was found. The bank didn't elaborate and requested privacy for Crenshaw's family.
