Inspection will close westbound Boone Bridge on Sept. 25

The Daniel Boone Bridge as seen on Google Map's streetview. The westbound span of the bridge will be closed on Sept. 25 for a safety inspection.

If you need to get across the Missouri River from Chesterfield to St. Charles County on Sept. 25, plan ahead - your normal route won't be open.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is closing the westbound span of the Daniel Boone Bridge, which carries Interstate 64 over the Missouri River, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25. Workers must inspect the 1930s-era bridge, which carries more than 75,000 cars a day.

Endangered person advisory issued by Chesterfield police

Wasayul S. Haque has been reported by the Chesterfield Police Department as endangered and missing.

Updated 11:10 p.m. - The missing persons report was canceled around 8 p.m. Thursday after Wasayul Haque was found unharmed. Chesterfield police provided no additional information.

Haque is described  by the police department as being 5'6'' tall, 110 lbs. with black hair, brown eyes and a medium brown complexion. He is described wearing a multi-colored long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and no shoes.

New charge added to former St. Louis County Planning Commission chair indictment

Back in April we told you that former St. Louis County Planning Commission chair, Douglas Morgan, 65, from Chesterfield, had been indicted on a charge of federal bank fraud.

With that charge, Morgan could face a maximum penalty of up to 30 years in prison and/or fines up to $1,000,000 if convicted.

Today, the Eastern District of Missouri division of the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a release that Morgan now faces an additional charge: wire fraud.
