Kelsey Proud is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where she earned a Convergence (Multimedia) Journalism degree. She has worked at PBS Interactive in Washington, D.C., MSN UK News in London and is a social media enthusiast. Kelsey feels journalism is truly a public service and hopes her work enhances community and reaches those who need information most.  Though she's "from" Chicago, Kelsey has also lived in several different regions of the United States, including periods of time in North Carolina, Ohio, New Mexico and Illinois. Her extended family has roots in Boone and Audrain counties in Missouri, too. She is a wannabe chef and globe trekker, former competitive golfer and band-ie (trumpet), and honorary Missourian.

Boeing delays 787 delivery until third quarter

Looks like the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will stay, well, a dream for just a bit longer.

Boeing Co. is pushing back the delivery date for its new 787 until at least July.

Broncos RB Maroney arrested in St. Louis

Denver Broncos running back Laurence Maroney has been arrested in St. Louis on drugs and weapons allegations.

Maroney's publicist, Jane Higgins, confirmed the arrest Tuesday. St. Louis police would say only that five people in an Infiniti were arrested Monday night, and are accused of possessing marijuana and weapons.

Three, including a 25-year-old man, were accused of unlawful use of a weapon. Maroney, 25, is a native of suburban St. Louis. No one has been formally charged.

Mo. teacher connected to dogfighting bust may lose teaching license

A Missouri teacher involved in the one of the largest dog-fighting rings ever broken up in the United States may lose his license to teach in the state tomorrow.

Rick Hihath, from St. Joseph, is a former teacher who worked at a state school for the severely disabled.

In a March 2010 hearing, the Commissioner of the Missouri State Board of Education recommended that Hihath lose his license, and legal action tomorrow may see that recommendation through.
