Kelsey Proud is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where she earned a Convergence (Multimedia) Journalism degree. She has worked at PBS Interactive in Washington, D.C., MSN UK News in London and is a social media enthusiast. Kelsey feels journalism is truly a public service and hopes her work enhances community and reaches those who need information most.  Though she's "from" Chicago, Kelsey has also lived in several different regions of the United States, including periods of time in North Carolina, Ohio, New Mexico and Illinois. Her extended family has roots in Boone and Audrain counties in Missouri, too. She is a wannabe chef and globe trekker, former competitive golfer and band-ie (trumpet), and honorary Missourian.

Mongolian student missing from Maplewood found in Maryland

A Mongolian man originally reported missing on Dec. 21 from Maplewood has been found in a Baltimore, Md. homeless shelter.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Police said Dulgunn Sukhee, 20, was found Sunday in Baltimore, and that his father flew there from Mongolia to be with him after he e-mailed his mother sometime last week.

UPDATE: 3:30 p.m. Jan. 24, 2011

The St. Louis Business Journal reports that Smurfit-Stone will lose its dual headquarters of in Creve Coeur, Mo. and Chicago when it is acquired by RockTenn.

The new combined company will be based out of RockTenn’s headquarters in Norcross, Ga., the Business Journal reports.

UPDATE: Judge: Hearsay, time of death testimony to be allowed in Coleman trial

UPDATE:

The judge has ruled to allow the hearsay testimony into court. Additionally, according to the Associated Press, jurors will be allowed to hear an expert testify for prosecutors about the victims' estimated time of death.

A judge is expected to rule this afternoon about the use of statements from victim Sherri Coleman as evidence against her husband Christopher Coleman.

Christopher Coleman is accused of killing Sherri and their two young sons, Gavin and Garrett.
