Officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation say work on the Poplar Street Bridge will start this spring and continue into the fall.

The work will involve resurfacing the bridge deck and will result in lane closures and traffic delays.

Deanna Venker is an area engineer for MoDOT.  She says the work could not be delayed until the completion of the new Mississippi River bridge in 2014.

First basemen Albert Pujols is entering his eleventh season as a St. Louis Cardinal, and now, it's looking like it might be his last.

Albert Pujols' spring training deadline for a new contract with the St. Louis Cardinals came and went today without a deal.

The Cardinals say they tried to reach agreement with Pujols for several months and they are "greatly disappointed" they were unsuccessful. General Manager John Mozeliak says at Pujols' request, no more talks will be held until the end of the season.

If he doesn't re-sign with the St. Louis Cardinals, first baseman Albert Pujols could set off a bidding war to end all wars. Pujols reportedly wants to be baseball's first $300-million-man.

Canada, Mexico and China are the top customers for Missouri goods in an export market that jumped 36 percent in 2010, the St. Louis Business Journal reports.

The data reflecting the jump is from the World Trade Center St. Louis.

Tim Nowak, executive director at the World Trade Center, says the growth was driven primarily by industrial products and manufactured goods.

St. Louis neighborhoods will be getting some relief from ice-covered side streets resulting from last week's blizzard.

The City of St. Louis Streets Department received over 250 requests for service this morning.

Streets Director Todd Waelterman says 50 crews are out spreading a mixture of sand and salt on some of the worst areas.
