In the early 1980s, University City resident George Allen was charged with and convicted of raping and murdering court reporter Mary Bell.

Last year, after serving 30 years in prison, Allen was released from prison as new evidence came to light which could have helped Allen’s defense and which a judge ruled made his trial unfair.

The prosecutor in the city of St. Louis will look into some of the governance and oversight issues plaguing the Missouri History Museum.

"Upon request, we have agreed to review concerns brought to the St. Louis Board of Aldermen in connection with the Missouri History Museum. At this point, it would be inappropriate to discuss this matter further," Jennifer Joyce said in an written statement.

The City of St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has filed 3rd Degree Assault charges against two St. Louis Metropolitan Police officers, Rory Bruce and David Wilson, in two unrelated incidences.

A Justice Center prison guard is facing multiple charges of sexual contact with an inmate at the maximum security jail last year.

St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce filed eleven felony counts against Stephanie Rodgers Monday. The acts are alleged to have occurred in the prisoner’s cell and a security tower.

Assistant Circuit Attorney Dan Proost said officials learned of the affair through phone taps that were part of a separate investigation.
