Judge Denies Deposition Request in Martin Wrongful Death Hearing

A Cape Girardeau judge denied a deposition request on Tuesday in the wrongful death hearing of Adrienne Martin, the 27-year-old woman who died of a drug overdose in August Busch IV’s mansion in 2010.

Martin’s mother, Christine Trampler, requested depositions of Busch and three others. But Judge William Syler denied her request because it would further drag out the year-and-a-half old case.

Lawsuit againt Joyce Meyer Ministries dropped, again

A southwestern Illinois judge has tossed a wrongful death lawsuit against Joyce Meyer Ministries filed in 2011.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that on Tuesday St. Clair County Associate Judge Richard Aguirre signed the order dismissing the lawsuit against the Missouri-based televangelist.

Wrongful death suit filed in wake of Joplin disaster

The wife and daughter of man killed inside a Walmart store when a massive tornado hit Joplin are suing.

The Joplin Globe reported that the wrongful death lawsuit names Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and the store's manager as defendants. The case, initially filed in Jasper County Circuit Court, was transferred Friday to federal court.

Wrongful death suit filed against August Busch IV

The family of Sheri Coleman has dropped the wrongful death suit against Coleman's former husband, Christopher Coleman, KMOV reports.

Christopher Coleman is currently charged with three counts of first degree murder after the May 2009 killings of Sheri and their two young sons.
